How can I make the node- and element numbers visible?

Choose 'Sublayer visibility' in the context menu of the layer button 'FE mesh'. There you can switch on the visibility of the desired numbers.

Note: Each time the mesh is generated, the visibility check boxes for the numbers are switched off again.
