FAQ, Miscellaneous, Generation 8, Question 5

How do I import a calculation of a previous program generation?

Calculations of a previous program version can not be edited directly using a program of a newer generation. However, it is possible to import such calculations, e.g. import of a CEDRUS calculation in CEDRUS. This can be done as follows:

Create a new calculation and choose from the menu 'File' > 'Import' the program version of the calculation you want to import. After that, the CubusExplorer opens and you can select the desired calculation.

Note: If programs of previous program generations are not listed in the import menu, the import of some input data might be possible anyhow. For example in STATIK you find an import button in the tabsheet 'Structure' for importing input data according to the SIN standard compatible with Statik-3.
