What was new in the former generations of CEDRUS
In the listing below you can see the news in the former generations of AVENA. The collected changes compared to the predecessor generation are listed.
What was new in CEDRUS-7
General
- Upgrade to most recent version of national codes
- New graphical user-interface with optimized fonts, support of high-resultion displays
- Improved support for network installations
- Report management: create print entries, graphically modify, save reports as a template and load
- Extensions to the CubusExplorer: Direct call of the programs and the CubusManager for the administration of the installation
Base module
- Piles in bottom slabs
- Extended punching analysis according to SIA262:2013
- Support of chains of joint lines with differing attributes
- Separate layer for non-loadbearing walls
- Exclusive visibility of column and wall reactions
- Report generator: editor with insert, move and modify functionality. Storing reports as templates for other projects.
Buildings, Option G
- Non-vertical columns
- Openings in walls
- Improved determination of mass and volume (clearance of columns and walls)
- Global action factors and user defined categories
- Analysis of soil-structure interaction
Buildings, Option H
- Improved determination of mass and volume
- New geometrical engine for imporved STATIK models
- Graphical output of spectrum (dynamic analysis)
CAD-Interfaces
- CADview: support for rotation of drawing
What was new in CEDRUS-6
Base module
- Columns: general cross sections and new support model
- Joint lines: extension of the hitherto existing hinge lines to more general joint lines
- Punching: automatic punching objects also for ends of walls, improoved user interface
- FE mesh: reduced amount of data leads to quicker response and less storage demand
- Displacements considering cracks and long-term influence
- Verification of crack widths
- Reinforcement design: limit value results based on different disign criteria (e.g. ultimate load and serviceability)
- Evaluation of non orthogonal reinforcement
- Report: automatic actualization after modification of the input
Buildings, Option G
- Modified user interface
- Improved model for evaluation of load transfer
- Accounts for prestressing in slabs
- Nonlinear calculation of export combinations possible (tensionless supports)
- Faster calculations, less data for storing
- Improved rendered view (variable slab thicknesses and downstanding beams visible)
- Column design (from release 13002, PYRUS license required)
Building, Option H
- Transfer of horizontal loads
- Verification of brick walls according to SIA266 (needs licence for MURUS)
- Generation of earthquake loads (for static equivalence force method)
CAD-Interfaces
- CADview for import of DWG- and DXF-drawings
- CADextract for generating CEDRUS input from CAD drawings
- Allplan Interface
